With all the turmoil happening in the Middle East I thought that it would be pertinent to discuss what may be driving the current chaos. This map was drawn up in 2006 by then United States Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice. Take a good look at it and you will notice that it is a major re-shuffling of what are now existing borders. Please remember that many of these modern countries, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Israel, and Iraq, were created just after WWI, as the Brits and French carved up the Ottoman Empire and created these countries. Now after decades of unrest it would seem that redrawing the borders along ethnic lines may be a solution to the Middle East turmoil that has plagued the area for decades.

You will please note that the nation of Israel is reduced in size, while Iraq is carved up into three separate states. Some of you may think back to my earliest BLOGS where I proposed three separate countries being created out of Iraq, and I would like to point out that I hadn’t seen this map until recently! Also, Saudi Arabia looses control of the holy cities of Mecca and Medina and instead the newly created, Islamic Sacred State emerges. I wonder what the Saud family thinks about this?

Notice that the nations of Egypt and Tunisia and Libya, all of which have revolted or are in the process of revolting are not mentioned here. Are we looking at the prelude to the implementation that we see above? Is the current revolt a dynamic that was not anticipated? Has this plan been scrapped and a new one put in its place? What are we looking at and where is all of this headed? Only time will tell….

In closing today’s post: The supernatural events that shaped the Middle East, Islam, continues to dominate the world view of the citizens throughout the entire region with the exception of Israel. I would posit that after the reshuffling is ended, all eyes will be on the Jewish state, as it will be the only non-Moslem state in the region. There will be war, it’s only a matter of time before it breaks out. In the end the words of the prophet will ring true, Jerusalem will become a cup of trembling.
