KEEP OUT! was a smoothly written book about the various super-secret government and military sites about the world and the accompanying legends, stories and myths that have culturally arisen about these tales. Many accounts had to do with claims of how powerful and cryptic institutions have joined with stories of monsters, UFOs, and government experimentation with elements of public control. Asteroid Apophis: God of Death, Were the Egyptians Right? by Diane Tessman. Apophis, discovered in 2004, went zooming by Wednesday night, January 9, 2013. It was predicted to come within 9.3 million miles of Earth. European Space Agency officials announced that its infrared Herschel Space Observatory discovered not long ago that Apophis is about 1,066 feet wide, nearly 20 percent larger than a previous estimate of 885 feet. “The 20 percent increase in diameter … translates into a 75 percent increase in our estimates of the asteroid’s volume or mass,” said Thomas Mueller of the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Germany. UFO Hovered Low Over Friendswood, Texas by Roger Marsh. A report of a football field long, triangle-shaped UFO moving low over Webster, TX, last week prompted a nearby resident to come forward with new testimony on what may be a similar low flying craft over Harris County, according to January 8, 2013, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The infamous and embattled Julian Assange had made prior comments to the announced release of many of his controversial intelligence leaks that there would be UFO related materials. Such was the case recently when Wiki Leaks revealed alleged compromised Department of Defense cable communications indicating that US armed forces may be in the midst of a secret war with UFOs.
