It was a “Ring UFO”!

It was about 4:30 pm Friday, the 13th of April, 2012, I was sitting on the west side of my building in Hoboken, NJ. The sun was in the western sky.
In the northwestern sky, I noticed a flickering object about the size of a large star. It seemed to be reflecting the sun as it slowly moved towards the east and towards me. It was moving very slowly and no noticeable change in speed or direction and no noise at all.
I had my Canon 20 D with telephoto lens with me and proceeded to take as many shots as I could (after wasting about 7 shots with an incorrect camera setting).
The object eventually drifted over my building and towards New York City.
It was when I uploaded the photos (and only then) that I realized the true shape of the object. It was a most unusual UFO…
It was a “Ring UFO”!
Considering its distance from me, I estimate its size to be about the size of a Piper Cub, a small, single-engine plane. However, I cannot be sure.
The temperature was about 60 degrees with no noticeable wind (that I can remember).
The sighting lasted about 10 minutes.
