Humanity is on the verge of enormous change. More than a paradigm shift, human consciousness is engaged in a process of integration with a higher mind. The process is occurring through encounters with non-ordinary reality that are known as high strangeness events. What exactly are these events? They are incidents that defy the laws that govern our physics and the expectation of our experience. They include interactions with UFO, orbs of light, strange sounds, human and mysteriously made crop circles, and altered states of awareness and/or perception. They include messages from deceased loved ones, the sense of interaction with an unknown presence, answered prayer, spontaneous healing and synchronicities that bring meaning to seemingly random occurrences.

Such events represent an interface with the unknown, an interaction with parts of reality we do not yet understand. They are not paranormal or supernatural, although both words are used to describe them. Rather, they are normal and natural to a worldview that we are presently being introduced to and will one day inhabit. These interactions are creating a shift in paradigm resulting in a new view of reality.
High strangeness events have existed for millennia, yet they are emerging today in new and unimagined ways. The past fifty years has seen an exponential increase in non-ordinary interactions. Some of the stories that are coming forth reflect forces that have always been present yet were unseen. Now advances in science and technology extend our senses further into the world and we are exploring the edges of unknown territory. In addition, new technology allows us to record events and transmit them worldwide, helping us see the extent of the evolving phenomena.
Skeptics will say that there is no irrefutable proof that the events people are describing are real. For those who experience them, there is no doubt of their reality. As the number of people having such experiences grows, a new question arises: rather than asking whether or not these events are real, we start to ask what it means to us that they are.
When talking about paradigm shifts, the tendency is to look at scientific and technological trends that usher in new thinking. A great deal of what we are discovering, however, does not represent a change in science and technology; it represents a change in humans. New information engages the mind; events engage the emotions, and emotional shifts push people to expand.
Each person who has experienced a high strangeness event holds a small piece of a larger picture and it is time to put the pieces together. It’s not about what we can theorize or prove, it is about what we experience and how we feel. It’s about the changes our experiences create within us and how that alters the way we see and interact with the world. We are at a turning point and people’s personal stories are more important than ever.
The hallmark of high strangeness events is that the encounters leave us permanently altered. For some, being altered means turning off and disappearing into a fog of denial. For most, it can mean being enlivened as inner aspects that were asleep wake up. In some cases, an initial encounter early in our lives plants a seed in our subconscious that aligns us with the emerging paradigm. Embracing the experience activates the awakening of consciousness.
Mental-conditioning affects what we are able to see; our inability to perceive outside of our beliefs is called inattentional blindness. Rather than believing what we see, we see what we believe. Right now, what we believe is changing. We are opening to new vistas and challenging the boundaries of what is real. This represents a breakthrough in conditioning.
For example, consider the impact of crop circles on everyday awareness. In 1983, Colin glanced sideways into a wheat field while driving along a road he traveled every day and saw five unusual circles that changed his life. Hundreds of other drivers glanced sideways and saw only a wheat field. Thirty years later, the name crop circle is a worldwide household term and the average person in England, both resident and tourist, now looks to the fields anticipating designs.
Many people dismiss the crop circle phenomenon as a human-made hoax. People do make crop circles; it is an unfortunate deception that many researchers espouse that none are made by people. The human element is an important part of the mystery; human circle-makers, researchers and crop circle experiencers all have high strangeness events occurring around crop circles. The people involved with the phenomenon are interlinked in the synchronization of events.
Whatever you believe about crop circles and where they come from, their presence has had undeniable impact. At the very least, crop circles encourage people to look for patterns in nature and consequently see the world in new ways. Was the crop circle phenomenon a hoax, a government conspiracy to condition society, or an interaction with an unknown intelligence with an unknown agenda? What we know for sure is that people now look and see differently than they did before crop circles emerged.
Right now we are at a crossroads; we can awaken and move forward into a new paradigm, or collapse back to the mistakes of our past. Interactions with higher intelligence seem to be driving us toward an awakened shift in paradigm. While this might represent a concern for the wellbeing for humanity, it might also suggest we are part of something much larger and what we do on this planet may impact other dimensions of reality. Part of the shift in paradigm is fully realizing our place in the larger picture. At our current level of awareness, nothing is as it appears.
The crossroads where we find ourselves is clearly seen in social dynamics. While some people strive to embrace higher reality and expand consciousness, others are planting bombs and spreading their inner misery outward. It seems idealistic to believe we can influence this dynamic through peaceful means, and yet we simply can’t kill everyone with whom we disagree. As we must engage and integrate the shadow within our own being, we must engage our enemies. Underneath our differences, we are human, we are connected and our fates are interlinked; we all hold different pieces to the puzzles we seek to unravel.
The way to align with higher forces at work on this planet is to create congruence with them and our inner mental and emotional states. When our mind and emotions are in conflict, we create chaos; when they flow together, we create coherent fields of heart-centered energy. This field of energy is more powerful than we can imagine and even more potent when it is aligned with higher intent and flows from truth and sincerity.
Isolation is the greatest impediment to achieving a better state of being. People who have been separated from establishing bonds with family, friends, animals, nature, and their own spirit all suffer from isolation. The flow of energy that creates the matrix of life requires that all of us are engaged. In holographic reality, either all of us make it or none of us do. As we reach out with our minds and hearts to find new realities, we need to reach out to each other to forge bonds based on respect, trust and a shared future. If we don’t like what we see in another, we must change the reflection within ourselves. Make peace. For the shift to occur, no one can be left behind. The window for this profound change is narrow. To take the leap, we need to have faith in ourselves, in our intuition and in our capacity to grow.
