Cigar-shape UFO Streaked Across West Virginia Sky

A West Virginia witness is convinced that the long, cigar-shaped object seen “streaking” across the bright, sunny sky was not military, according to May 13, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

“It was a very long-distance away, but I could still be able to tell what type of shape and color,” the witness stated.

The witness described the color of the object and how it moved.

“The color was a bright silver that was shiny as if it was illuminated in the sky. There were clouds in the area it was at, and as it was streaking across. It went into the one area of clouds, and never returned to the other side.”

The witness reports that the object moved in a pattern that was not military.

“The way it flew was a fast, streak across the sky type of pattern. I knew instantly that it was not something that the military uses, since we do have an air base here and you always see aircraft flyng, but this was not anything I have ever seen before especially with the color, shape, and flying pattern.”

The above quotes were edited for clarity. No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report. The incident occurred on May 10, 2011. No images or video were included with the report.

West Virginia is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating, with a low number of UFO sightings nationally. West Virginia had 4 UFO reports in April 2011 – while California had 46 sightings, the highest reporting state in the nation.
