Contrails Forming a “V”

Publisher’s Note:  Received the following submission Sunday morning (2.13.2011) from a UFO Digest reader in Florida. He saw and photographed a most unusual contrails and is sharing it with us.

Description of incident:

I went into my front yard around 5:20 pm on 2/11 and immediately saw these “contrails”, different from any that I’ve ever seen. 

I went inside for my camera which picked that moment to need new batteries so I took about 5 minutes before I went back outside.  The view is to the east, maybe slightly southeast.  I took four (4) pictures and watched them for about 10 minutes. 

I saw no planes or change whatsoever to the trails except they moved rather quickly to the east.  If they were being blown by high winds it wasn’t changing their shape at all. 

I never saw any planes or other contrails during this time. 

The trails could have originated from Eglin Air Force Base (AFB)  located approximately 3 miles (5 kilometers) southwest of Valparaiso, Florida in Okaloosa County.
