Eight UFO reports from five states describe multiple, low flying objects over an 11-hour and 10 minute period beginning in Pennsylvania at 4:50 p.m. on November 16, 2012, and ending at 4 a.m. on November 17, 2012, in Indiana, according to testimony from the past 24 hours in the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The following cases may be unrelated, but seem to reinforce a compelling and continuing story of low flying objects – multiple objects in many cases – that the witness cannot identify. Reports of close encounters with unknown objects have been frequently reported throughout 2012 from a diverse part of the U.S.
We recently reported on a “Black, rectangle UFO reported crossing low over Georgia highway” and “UFO reported hovering low over Pennsylvania highway” and “Michigan brothers report object hovering over movie theater” and “Des Moines lights described as ‘gliding slowly under 200 feet’.”
Today’s highlighted cases begin in southwestern Pennsylvania just before 5 p.m. on November 16, 2012.
A Pennsylvania witness driving west on I-422 at Shelocta reported watching and photographing “three glowing objects that converged and formed a triangle” about 4:50 p.m. on November 16, 2012, in Case 43954.

The witness was traveling between Johnstown and Pittsburgh when a “glowing ball” was noticed to the “left moving in the same direction” and then a second glowing ball was seen a few miles ahead.
“These two balls converged and were joined by a third,” the witness stated. “I did not see where the third one came from as I hadn’t pulled over yet. They stayed in a triangular formation and hovered a few miles in front of me for a solid 6 – 10 minutes during which time I pulled over and got some pictures.”
The witness attempted both video and still photos.
“I attempted to take video, but the shapes were not showing up on my viewfinder. I was however able to get some still photos. While the objects were hovering, flame or light was coming out of the bottoms making them resemble jellyfish. Anytime they moved, they were simply round. Anytime they stopped, they had something coming out of the bottom again.”
Four images were submitted with the MUFON report: Image 1, Image 2, Image 3 and Image 4.
The witness continued to watch the objects for another 10 minutes and reported they faded from sight.
“I continued down the road a ways, and found that they likely had been hovering over a power plant.”
Approximately 40 minutes later and more than 250 miles to the east near Southampton, PA, a woman had an encounter with three objects about 5:30 p.m. on November 16, 2012, in a report that has not yet been logged with MUFON.
The woman reported the account directly to the UFO Examiner and she has been asked to file a report with MUFON. She makes a reference early on to her work route home as she had an unreported encounter on that stretch of roadway on January 3, 2011, and only recently discovered that the case was already under investigation by MUFON through a UFO Examiner story – and it makes her a new witness.
“As I was driving home from work following the same east to west journey along Street Road, I noticed three sets of five bright lights each in a close formation low to the ground flying to the south just as I was coming up on the Trevose Fire Deptment,” the witness stated.
“The lights were especially bright (which is what caught my attention), so I continued to look for them to my left (southwest) as I drove. They were briefly blocked from my view due to the tree line until I reached the main town area of Feasterville, PA (just past the McDonald’s).
“At this point they were clearly in view – three craft with five equidistant bright, white ‘landing’ lights each. The tight triangular formation they flew in was quite impressive. The crafts approached rather slowly, again with no discernible sound over the traffic (I had again rolled down my windows to listen), and passed over Street Road just ahead of me, going northeast.
“I looked up to see the silhouettes of the crafts against the then dark sky and believe I could make out a triangular body (not the typical airplane shape) to the front craft which appeared darker than the night sky behind it. I was not able to see this on the other two due to my efforts to avoid fender bending with the cars around me.
“On the third craft, I assume it was traveling higher than and/or slightly behind the other two, I was able to see a small, blinking red light on the ‘nose,’ just to the right (my left) of the center light. I did not notice this on the others, though that’s not to say that I just didn’t miss it. I as well as the people in the cars around me were craning our heads out the windows as well as trying to avoid getting into an accident. Try explaining that one to a cop!”
Now the story moves from the Feasterville-Southampton, PA, area to Old Saybrook, CT, about 190 miles northeast along Long Island Sound at 5:55 p.m. on November 16, 2012, in MUFON Case 43960.
“Traveling in car, I noticed a streaking light, moving extremely fast,” the witness stated. “So fast, that the object created a trail of light. A single object was followed down the road, then rose into the sky where two other objects were seen. In triangular formations, the objects remained stationary.”
Then at 7:03 p.m. on November 16, 2012, in Mount Clemens, MI, about 650 miles to the east of Old Saybrook, “suddenly a bright orange, tulip-shaped object appeared, coming from the northwest” in MUFON Case 43972.
“It made no sound at all,” the witness stated. “I tried to compare it with the shape of a jetliner, but in comparison, it was at least 3-4 times larger. It was very bright in color, like a bright pumpkin orange, with three peaks (like a tulip).”
Then at 7:25 p.m. on November 16, 2012, in Indianapolis, IN, about 300 miles southwest of Mount Clemens, a witness reported three strange objects in the sky in MUFON Case 43963.
“I noticed a star-like object blinking as it soared through the sky,” the witness stated. “I know it wasn’t a shooting star. I looked for several minutes and noticed two more of the same star-like objects chasing each other on the opposite side of the sky and their lights were also blinking simultaneously. I ran in the house and asked my son to come verify what I saw, and I guess the look on my face, he knew I meant it. He confirmed what I saw also.”
At 9 p.m. on November 16, 2012, a witness in Rochester, NY, about 560 miles northeast of Indianapolis, reported “a burning orb about 100 feet overhead that we followed to the beach and witnessed many more of the same object and one more much larger object that appeared huge and hovered slowly northeast” in MUFON Case 43965.
Then as the clock approached midnight on November 16, 2012, a witness in Alto, MI, about 430 miles directly west of Rochester, reported three lights moving in a triangle formation in MUFON Case 43970.
“They were in a triangle shape, obviously, as three points always create a triangle of some sort,” the witness stated. “But they were bright and oddly colored for anything I’ve ever seen in the sky, like fireballs, but not flickering or streaming across the sky like you’d normally see with a meteor (which we thought it was related to).
