Mississippi woman reports object ‘right above trees’ – Fifth cigar UFO case

By Roger Marsh,
UFO Examiner

A Mississippi woman is the fifth Eastern U.S. witness over a three-day period to report a cigar-shaped object in a case describing a “white-grayish” object that moved “right above the trees” about 9:45 p.m. as the family traveled through Marshall County on January 14, 2012, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The woman was watching the sky as her husband drove and two children were asleep in the backseat.

The object was seen just above the tree tops.

“Then suddenly this large white/grayish, cigar-disc shaped object with windows appeared out of nowhere right above the trees,” the witness stated. “It was as big as an airplane and was very close as if it was heading for our car. It appeared right above the trees on the side of the highway.”

The woman’s husband did not get a good view of the object while he was driving.

“It was moving so fast. He caught the tail end of it. He said he saw something bright and white, but he assumed it was a cell phone tower. He’s a big skeptic, but I know what I saw and it was very disturbing. I’m scared to drive my car at night now out of town. Something is going on out there. I know I’m not the only one that could have seen it. There were several cars on the highway at the time.”

No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on January 15, 2012. The specific town name was not named within the public portion of the MUFON report. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Marshall County is part of the Memphis metropolitan area, population 37,144.
