Triangle UFO cases are on the rise nationally this past month and California Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) investigators are piecing together their most credible reports as they search for a pattern, according to national reporting at MUFON and California MUFON State Section Director Steve R. Murillo.
The most recent triangle case is an April 7, 2011, report where the witness says a UFO was sighted three days in a row, with the most recent triangle sighting on April 6, in MUFON Case # 28577.
The April 4 sighting included a “very bright, star-like object” hovering at about 1,000 feet. The object was described as “circular with rotating white, blue, green and red lights around the sides of it.” This object was spotted west of the quarry in Cupertino and flew into the Santa Cruz mountains. Cupertiono is an affluent suburb in Santa Clara County, population 58,302, and is worldwide headquarters for to Apple, Inc.
The event repeated itself on April 5 and lasted about 10 minutes.
Then the same witness watched a “bright, star-like object” hovering over the Cupertino quarry again on April 6. Using a telescope for observation, the witness reports that the object was a triangle with bright lights at each tip. While watching the object, all of the lights went out, “but you could see four “dots” of lights lined up next to it.”
“Then, while I was still looking through my telescope, the three bright white lights came back on,” the witness stated. “I watched it for about 15 minutes, then the lights went out again, and didn’t come back on. At this point, the line of ‘dots’ also disappeared from view.”
Murillo recalls that there was a triangle sighting in Palos Verdes on March 28, 2011. “Then I received a post from a guy in La Jolla who saw a similar triangular object that same night, roughly 15 minutes prior.” This sighting was covered here as: ‘Perfect black triangle’ observed from Los Angeles County.
Then on March 30, 2011, MUFON Case # 28500 reveals witness testimony about a triangle hovering very low and completely silent.
“It was about 100 to 200 feet in the air, had red and blue lights with a few white ones,” the witness stated. “None of the lights was flashing and they appeared in a triangle shape. Instinctively, I rolled my window down and peered at it as I drove past (there were no other cars on the road). I could not hear anything or feel anything.”
Murillo says the witness was driving to work at 4:58 a.m. and saw “a stationary set of blue, red and white lights implying the shape of a triangle.” He says the witness is very credible and that State Section Director Melvin Podell is assigned to the case. They are searching for additional witnesses.
