IN THIS INSTANCE MR SCHROEDER HAS IT ALL WRONG AND HIS COMMENTS NEED TO BE ADDRESSED.

Science and Psychiatry do not differentiate between mental illness and
possession because anyone who believes they are possessed is obviously mentally ill!

Epilepsy was at one time considered to be a form of possession and the symptoms of epilepsy are often indistinguishable from definitions of ‘possession’ by Christian fanatics.

There are over 450,000 epileptic patients currently registered in the U.K. alone. The number of people suffering from this illness world-wide runs into the millions.

It is unfortunately typical of people like Mr Schroeder who push what is basically a form of religious missionaryism onto sick people, to avoid mentioning the fact that there are dozens of mental diseases which give similar symptoms to that specified by religious zealots as ‘possession’.

Who then is to decide which is which?

THE EVILS OF EXORCISM – SAFF EXPOSED THE DANGERS OF RANK SUPERSTITIOUS NONSENSE!

The SAFF (http://www.saff.ukhq.co.uk/everyman1.htm ) has made a decades-long study of people who are mentally ill and who have been tortured and even killed by interfering Christian fundamentalists who insist that they are possessed and who kidnap them away from doctors who can cure them.

There are HUNDREDS of cases of unnecessary deaths of innocent people and children who got caught up in the machinations of religious zealots who believed that exorcism would cure chronic mental illnesses and who died in the process of trusting them.

People who assert that possession is real ought to be shunned for the superstitious fools they really are. Anyone who is already a fanatical Christian will not be persuaded by Mr Schroeder’s words because they are ‘already’ convinced of the existence of possession.

There is a very real danger that Mr Schroeder, and those following his questionable lead, will further confuse vulnerable people who are already mentally bewildered; people who should in fact be getting appropriate, professional medical help.

With respect, I fear that including such misleading and superstitious gobble-de-gook in any leading UFO/Paranormal exchange forum will only ensure that it is brought into unnecessary disrepute. This is not good enough!

And at the end of the day we must all remember that there is a very big difference between the genuine supernatural world (as investigated by committed occultists throughout history) and Dark Age, superstitious fancy (that is regularly trotted out by self-righteous religious activists).
