Strange Anomaly Captured by Boston Photographer!

The photographer noticed something moving at a rather high speed through a shot of a church and is unable to identify it. This still shot was pulled from the short piece of video provided by the witness.

A documentary photographer in Boston is curious about a “quick flying object” that crossed his screen about 5:20 p.m. on July 17, 2012, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

“I was filming a documentary in Boston and I shot a church,” the witness stated. “When reviewing the footage later, I noticed a quick flying object shooting past the screen at 0:03.”

The video can be downloaded here. The image on this page is a still frame taken from the video. Photographers commonly catch birds or bats or bugs that are not seen at the time something is photographed, but the image can look unusual when reviewing photography later at your computer.

The witness is unsure what the object is.

“Very strange and it does not seem to be a camera error.”

Massachusetts is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating, with a low number of UFO sightings nationally. Massachusetts had 5 reports in June 2012 – the 29th highest reporting state while California had 84 reports – the highest reporting state in the nation.

You can read more details about other recently reported cases at the UFO Examiner home page.

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. IfMassachusetts MUFON State Director Steve Firmani investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.
