UFO Activity over Melbourne, Australia Alarms Family

I was recently contacted by a lady, wishing to be known simply as ‘Laura’. She and a family relative (step-daughter) witnessed a UFO over Wheelers Hill, Melbourne, Australia.

Date and Time: Friday, January 4^th, 2013. 10.15 pm.

Weather conditions: Still and clear with no clouds.

Laura informed me of the following:

“It looked like a bright star with a bluish tinge in the sky but it then started to move. We thought maybe it was a helicopter but there was no noise and then it just stopped and appeared to hover. It stayed there for ages. We kept checking up on it and it didn’t move. We were freaked and then eventually got tired and went to bed. The next night it was gone. Just before we saw that we also saw a bright light travel at a constant speed…once again no noise.”

Laura explained to me that it was most certainly was not an aircraft. Via her own localised research she discovered that some other people in a neighbouring suburb reported seeing what may have been the same UFO.

The witness continued:

“It just went overhead and continued on until it eventually disappeared. I have been researching heaps since that night and I get the feeling that sightings are on the increase.”

Laura was so perturbed at the sighting that she has not been able to sleep properly since that night. She also advised that the event ‘scared’ some members of her family and that it had thrown many questions into her mind. This is quite a typical and understandable reaction when people witness such an inexplicable thing as a UFO. Laura also informed me that a few minutes after the UFO was seen a mysterious blue flash of alarming magnitude was seen nearby.

Incidentally, some researchers advise that Melbourne receives UFO reports at a rate of one per week. However, many others go unreported as they are too ambiguous to record. More activity here as well:
