UFO close to Viking Town hovering over farmland roadway

I never venture far without my camera in case I witness anything that I cannot immediately explain away. The thought of possibly missing a rare opportunity to capture something truly incomprehensible is always with me.

On 1st June 2012 I was out with the family walking my dog in the Lancashire countryside. Many birds and insects were in evidence and the weather was getting increasingly warmer. Thunder clouds also built up on the horizon.

We noticed a white or silver object in the distance that was seemingly hovering over the farm fields (or over the adjacent road) roughly in the area of Scarisbrick, which is not far from the old Viking Town of Ormskirk.

We watched the UFO for about 20 minutes. I also noticed that at times it seemed to almost disappear then come back into view. It also seemed to descend at times and move from left to right.

My camera was at maximum zoom so the images and videos I took are a little grainy, yet the UFO is quite plain to see.

At first we figured that this may have been a helicopter or some type of weather balloon. However, its constant position, actions and profile ruled out a chopper. Also it seemed unlikely that it was any kind of a meteorological device due to its somewhat isolated situation above agricultural fields. Noise does travel very far across these flat fields, yet this UFO was silent. I also noticed it was close to a wind turbine.

On arriving home, my daughter Jasmine and I set out in the car to comb the whole area in search of the mysterious UFO. Although we covered the entire region we found nothing in the Lancashire sky.

We are very familiar with this area and have never seen this before.

I make ‘no’ claims to the nature of what this particular UFO was at this stage and welcome any further information to possibly uncover the mystery.

I am very happy to report any explainable conclusion as to its origin if such data is made available to me. It is vital that we exclude all possibilities of UFO sightings being easily explainable by mundane/physical means, ‘before’ we can ever look further. Most UFO sightings are easy to identify – some are not!
