I was chatting with my wife whilst drinking tea in our Ainsdale home when we both saw a UFO streaking across the sky.
Sadly, I was unable to take a photo or video footage. The painting I have created in this article is just my ‘artist’s impression’ of the UFO.
I call it a UFO as at the time of writing the object is unidentified. This UFO was very impressive sight to see with a greenish centre and a long tail that was visible for several seconds.
We were looking in an easterly direction when the object flew past in a south to northerly trajectory. Was it a meteor, space debris, aircraft in distress or something else entirely? This UFO was quite amazing and it appeared to be moving at very high speed.
We feel that many other eyewitnesses in surrounding areas must have witnessed this amazing sight streaking across the dark, night sky.
I have reported on similar events before. Read these links below for more information on those UFO sightings.

The sighting was also reported to Merseyside Police shortly after the event.

UPDATE on CubeSat Project
CUBESAT ‘QUEST FOR ET’, GOING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH
January 2016 update
There are just a few bits and bobs here that deserve a mention and are in effect self-explanatory.
CubeSat funding apparently increasing here, as mentioned on Facebook.
The ‘Southport Visiter’ reporter (Fran Fitzsimmonds) behind this pre-Xmas CubeSat story has just kindly sent me the news piece…
CubeSats are a type of standardized, modular satellite for research in space and are made up of 10×10×11.35 cm sized units each weighing up to 1.33 kgs each and can be a single modular satellite or be several linked to form a larger satellite. They are extremely cost effective and are intended for low Earth orbit. The team’s CubeSat will be capable of detecting and measuring various radiation sources which can then be visually confirmed with two nano-cameras operating with parabolic lenses for a 360 degree view around the satellite. They are also hoping to include a micro-radar system if they can secure a unit at reasonable cost (they are a very new and expensive technology), which
would give them the ability to verify detected objects in space.
The team’s goal is to secure $50,000 in funding for the project, which they are currently pursuing with crowd-sourced funding efforts at:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/cubesat-for-disclosure-low-earth-orbit-satellite#/.

The thing that I like about this UFO project is that it remains independent and is not some overtly ‘officialised version’ of events that is being censored from the public gaze.
More soon, as it happens…
