A Brief report by Pat Regan
I was driving in the dark along the Southport Coastal Road when an exceptionally fast white UFO shot in front of my car and appeared to fall from the sky.
The night was becoming frosty with ice building on the windscreen of the car before I started off. The object was rapid and moving from south-west to north-east as it overshot my vehicle. After travelling some distance in front of the car it seemed to nose-dive in the vicinity of the famous Royal Birkdale Golf Club.
There have been traffic lights on the Coastal Road for quite some time due to a lane being closed because of flooding. I was slowing down for the red traffic light at a speed of approximately 10-15 mph when the UFO cut straight above and over my windscreen.
I admit that this sighting took me by surprise as it happened so fast. My little boy Jason, who was with me at the time, was also startled as I suddenly shouted to look up at the object.
Could this particular UFO have been yet more alleged ‘Space debris’ as was seen by many witnesses at both of the previous equinoxes or something else entirely? I reported on this at the time.
