Wild Weather

I am writing this week about the wild weather that we have been experiencing.
They say it is being caused by global warming. I do not know what to think about this but I do know that something  just is not right.

What can we do to make ourselves safer in the event of a major natural disaster?
You can all stock up on food and water supplies. Try to obtain non perishable items that will last for the entire duration. Other survival supplies you can get are candles, flashlights, personal protection devices, gas generator for backup power.

Its not a question any more of if a disaster will happen but when. I have been running through things in my head that I have observed.
I notice that our Sun does not set due west anymore it now sets in a more north westerly direction. Could this have an effect on our weather?

Some conspiracy theories abound blaming our own governments of manipulating our weather patterns. Some say they are doing this to control the population. I do not know what to believe but from what I have seen I am convinced that we are on a downward ride as far as the weather is concerned.

A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration special report outlines just how extraordinary the month of April 2011 was:
 875 preliminary tornado reports
 More than 500 confirmed tornadoes
58 fatalities related to two tornado outbreaks
Record rainfall along the Ohio River Valley
Record flooding along the Mississippi River
Drought conditions and 1.79 million acres burned by wildfires in the Southern Plains
$10 billion to $15 billion in damage

The above was reported just after 4 months of 2011! The numbers are definitely frightening!

We just have to keep our eyes and ears open. If your area has alarm horns that will sound in case of emergency learn to listen to them. Pay close attention to all weather warnings and be prepared to take shelter if need be. This could save your life and the lives of your loved ones.

It is my opinion that the weather is going to get worse before it gets better. Heck it may not get any better! Just this past week almost 3 ft of snow fell on the Northeast taking out cell towers, power and downing hundreds if not thousands of trees. This is a strange weather situation as the Northeast usually does not get snow until late November. I cannot ever remember a weather event that extreme.

The Northeast alone this year has had to deal with Hurricanes,Tornadoes,Floods and the aforementioned snow event. It makes one wonder,What is next?

Stay safe and keep eyes and ears open.
